THE WOMEN BEHIND REVELLE

Celebrating Asian Heritage Month at Revelle

May marks Asian Heritage Month—a time to celebrate and acknowledge the rich cultures, stories, and contributions of Asian communities. As many of you know, our incredible owners are of Filipino heritage, making this month especially meaningful for us. It’s the perfect time to shine a light on the inspiring women behind Revelle and celebrate their journey and accomplishments.

“Asian Heritage Month holds deep meaning for me as a Filipino business owner, both personally and professionally. It’s an opportunity to share and celebrate Filipino culture, traditions, and history while reaffirming our identity in a multicultural society.
This month helps bring visibility to the contributions of Asian communities, including Filipinos, and allows Asian business owners to feel seen in spaces where they’ve often been underrepresented. It’s also a chance to connect with fellow Asian entrepreneurs, build community, and foster collaboration.
Increased public interest during this month can drive support for Filipino-owned businesses like ours—and most importantly, it’s a way to inspire the next generation of Filipino leaders through stories of resilience, creativity, and success.”

“One accomplishment I’m especially proud of is being part of a bridal business that truly embraces cultural diversity. Whether it’s helping a bride find a gown that reflects both her modern style and cultural roots, or ensuring our branding is inclusive, it’s incredibly rewarding to help couples celebrate their full identities on one of the most important days of their lives.”

About Revelle

Revelle began its journey in October 2016 under the name Encore Bridal. We officially opened our first storefront in January 2017 in the Mooney’s Bay area of Ottawa. What started as a consignment boutique quickly evolved into a space offering special-order gowns from new and emerging designers—many of which were exclusive to the Ottawa region.

Fast forward nearly eight years, and we’re now proudly located in Westboro. We've had the honour of helping hundreds of brides find their dream dress, hosting runway events, participating in styled shoots with some of the city's best wedding vendors, growing our social media community, and attending countless bridal markets. One of our proudest milestones? Launching our very own private label: Rêve Bridal.

About Rêve Bridal

Priced between $2,500–$2,900, Rêve Bridal is designed for the fashion-forward bride who values luxury, modernity, and a bold sense of style. Whether your look leans classic, contemporary, or avant-garde, Rêve offers something truly unique—elegant silhouettes, luxurious fabrics, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.

“As a bridal boutique owner, I’ve had the privilege of working with incredible designers from around the world. So when the opportunity arose to create our own private collection, I jumped at the chance.
The gowns in our first drop are inspired by you—the brides who’ve trusted us with your dream dress. Rêve is our dream come true, and we’re honoured that you’ve made it yours too.”
