27 years ago, Revelle Bridal’s owner Earleen tied the knot. While reminiscing on her bridal look, Earleen had some really great advice for brides who are starting to shop for their wedding dress and accessories.

Here is what Earleen said:

“WHILE I ABSOLUTELY ADORED MY DRESS BACK IN '94, WHEN I LOOK BACK AT PHOTOS FROM MY WEDDING DAY THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS I WOULD HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY. WHAT I LOVED 27 YEARS AGO IS DEFINITELY NOT THE SAME STYLE THAT I LOVE TODAY AND THAT'S PERFECTLY OK.

PICK THE ONE THAT MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOU AT THAT TIME. SURE, YOU MAY LOOK BACK AT YOUR PHOTOS 5 OR 10 OR 27 YEARS FROM NOW AND SAY "WHAT WAS I WEARING" BUT YOU WILL ALSO REMEMBER HOW BEAUTIFUL YOU FELT AND HOW WONDERFUL YOUR WEDDING DAY WAS.”

This is the best advice because it is important to remember that styles and trends change over time, and it is important to love what you choose at that moment. If you purchase a lace wedding dress and want a matching veil, often times you can purchase lace from the designer and create a custom veil with your alterations specialist.

WINGS

Wings are the trendiest alternative to a veil. Bridal wings attach to the shoulder of your dress and create an end result of a veil. Another benefit to wearing bridal wings is that you don’t have to worry about messing up your hair when you remove them!

PEARL VEILS

Pearls will always be a classic embellishment to any look, but pearls scattered throughout a bridal veil creates such a modern look.
