What You Need to Know About Trunk Shows
While you start your dress shopping experience, you might hear the words “Trunk Show” and not understand how exciting Trunk Shows really are! A Trunk Show is when a designer sends either part of or their entire collection to bridal boutiques all around the world. Trunk Shows give brides the opportunity to try on gowns that wouldn’t usually be at our boutique. Here is what you need to know about Trunk Shows at Revelle.
1. LIMITED TIME
Since the dresses make appearances at different locations, they can only stay in one place for a limited amount of time. Typically, at Revelle our trunk shows stay at the shop just for one weekend but depending on the designer and availability, we are sometimes lucky enough to host a trunk show for longer. When you see that a designer is sending their collection to Revelle, be sure to book an appointment as soon as possible as Trunk Show appointments are always limited.
2. NEW DESIGNS
The main purpose of a Trunk show is for a designer to showcase the newest designs from their collection. Sometimes, a designer will send their designs to bridal boutiques that do not usually carry them. It is super exciting for us at Revelle Bridal to be able to see brand new styles and to have our brides say YES to the newest designs during a Trunk Show! Keep an eye out for when your favourite Revelle designers release their new collections because chances are, they will be sending a trunk show to our boutique.
3. SPECIAL PRICING
The best thing about finding THE one during a Trunk Show is that designers often offer special pricing when you purchase one of their gowns during the Trunk Show weekend. The discount will be applied to any special order gown from that specific designer. Since the gowns will only be at Revelle for a short period of time, it’s important to be ready to say yes to the dress at that very moment in order to take advantage of the special trunk show pricing.
