Who to Bring to Your Bridal Appointment
Getting married is a very exciting moment not just for you and your fiancé(e) - but for all of your friends and family. We know that it can be overwhelming to have your aunt, second cousin, mother in law, maid of honour, and everyone in between telling you their opinions of what you should do or not do at your wedding and that includes what to wear! At Revelle, we truly believe that dress shopping should be a fun and exciting experience and we know that choosing who you want to bring to your bridal appointments is a touchy subject. Plus now with COVID-19 restrictions fully in place at most bridal shops, your guest limit is reduced even more. The first thing to remember is that this is YOUR day and you need to do what YOU want to do. Bringing too many people can be overwhelming as you are the centre of attention and there may be too many competing opinions that may or may not match with yours.
Here’s the 3 types of people you should bring to your bridal appointment.
SO WHO DO YOU BRING?
#1: BRING PEOPLE WHOSE OPINIONS YOU TRULY CARE ABOUT AND VALUE THE MOST.
It may sound harsh but we all have those people in our lives that we absolutely love even though we may not necessarily love their opinions. You know who what I mean!
#2: BRING THOSE WHO ARE REALLY EXCITED FOR YOU.
We’ve definitely seen our fair share of jealous sisters or friends and you just don’t need that negative energy while you are dress shopping.
#3: BRING PEOPLE WHO MAKE YOU HAPPY.
If you’ve been talking about dress shopping with your sister since you were 6, then she’ll definitely be a good person to bring along to your appointment, as long as she ticks the first two boxes.
Remember, the people in your life that tick all 3 boxes are definitely the ones you want to be around when you experience that special moment of saying yes to your dress. On the other hand, if you truly can’t decide who to bring you can always come dress shopping on your own! Because the truth is, everyone is going to think you look absolutely beautiful in the dress that you walk down the aisle in. Be confident in your style and trust your judgement.
